Dr. Nafisa Shah is a Member of the National Assembly in the Pakistan Parliament. She has a PhD in Social and Cultural Anthropology from Institute of Social and Cultural Anthropology, Oxford University.

She has been a mayor of a district, a Young Global Leader nominee by the World Economic Forum, and a Secretary of the Women Parliamentary Caucus.

Her book ‘Honour and Violence: Gender, Power and Law in Southern Pakistan’ was published in 2016.

Pakistani women also hold top positions in Bridge and Swimming in Asia. Moving on to entrepreneurship, have you heard of Maria Umar - who runs and owns    The Women's Digital League an IT-solution company that trains rural Pakistani women in micro online tasks, from online writing to social media management.
